This beautiful fall cornucopia comes courtesy of the Capital Area Food Bank, a DC nonprofit providing equitable access to food and opportunity to people struggling with hunger and food security.
“We have had great success growing food and flowers with Bloom at the Capital Area Food Bank’s Urban Demonstration Garden! We harvested over 1,000 pounds of produce this growing season, all of it distributed to our partners or used during school field trips to the garden and educational events for the community. The okra we grew this year with Bloom was the tallest I have ever grown! Bloom is amazing,” said Avery Cross, Food Growing Education Specialist for the food bank.
