Chris Peot, Blue Drop Interim President, spoke about Bloom in the context of green energy and the circular economy at the North American Development Bank (NADBank) Summit 2024 in San Antonio, Texas this August. NADBank is a green bank that focuses on development projects on both sides of the US/Mexico border; this year’s conference themes were carbon, energy, water, and the circular economy.
“It was a perfect event to showcase what we are doing at the DC Water Blue Plains Advanced Resource Recovery Facility, where we generate 70,000 megawatt hours of clean, green renewable energy; the thermal equivalent of 50,000 megawatt hours of recovered heat in the form of steam for process heat; and our beautiful Class A EQ biosolids fertilizer product, Bloom. There are plenty of opportunities to do the same on both sides of the border,” Chris said of the event.
