This year has been extremely challenging for farmers in our region, with ongoing drought conditions among other hardships.
Despite this, David Happ of Happ Farm in Newburg, Maryland has transformed once-depleted farmland into thriving acres of soybeans, clover, sweet corn, orchards, and more with the help of Bloom. When David planted turnips late this fall due to the low rains, he shared: “Bloom has really helped boost germination and hold water in the soil. Even with the lack of rain we have found that soil amended with Bloom has great water retention, and the second planting has just taken off!”
Bloom can increase the water-holding capacity and organic matter in all types of soil, making it a vital tool for farmers in drought-prone areas. Learn more about Bloom’s drought-resistant properties and its impact on soil health.
