Bloom is excited to welcome Avery Cross as a full-time addition to the Bloom team! Avery first encountered Bloom while serving as Garden Specialist for the Capital Area Food Bank, where she became a passionate advocate for its use in CAFB’s edible gardens. She has since worked part-time over the past six months to manage Bloom’s greenhouse and support its sales, marketing and outreach efforts in numerous ways, which will continue to be part of her scope. If you are a regular homeowner or community garden customer, Avery will now be handling your orders!
Avery has a BA in Environmental & Urban Studies from Bard College, and has more than 10 years’ experience working at farms and gardens in Massachusetts, New York, California and DC.
