This month Bloom joined the POOP Project to celebrate World Toilet Day at the DC Comedy Loft! Observed on November 19, World Toilet Day was created by the United Nations to inspire action to tackle the global sanitation crisis. Worldwide, 4.2 billion people live without safe sanitation.
The POOP Project (which stands for the People’s Own Organic Power), founded by Shawn Shafner (pictured here with Bloom’s April Thompson), uses art, theater, and education to promote critical conversations about sustainable sanitation for the person, planet, and world community. Attendees were treated to a variety of toilet-themed comedy and music acts, and got to take home samples of Bloom. Every time you flush in DC, Bloom thanks you for your contribution!
