Happy lawn, happy pups! Thanks to Chris Hersh of Middleburg, Virginia for this photo of his dogs playing on his lawn, which greened up beautifully this spring with the help of Bloom.
Bloom came recommended to Chris by a local cut flower grower for his raised beds, and the homeowner decided to use it on his clay-heavy lawn as well. Chris recounts that when the driver showed up with the first of five truckloads of Bloom, and Chris was only armed with a wheelbarrow, the driver joked that by the time the next truckload arrived he would have figured out a different solution – an accurate prediction, as Chris went on to rent a mini-skid steer to help rake in the material across his sprawling two-acre grounds.
Chris had previously used other soil treatments to try to break up the clay, but nothing worked until he found Bloom. “The lawn and garden look phenomenal. People drive by and tell me how impressed they are with my gardening ability, but I tell them it’s Bloom that deserves the credit. The lawn has grown greener, thicker and stronger since using Bloom,” said Chris, who is also growing zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, dahlias, cosmos and zinnias in four raised beds amended with Bloom’s Woody Blend.
