Check out these beautiful pictures from Erin Martin’s garden, where she planted seedlings grown in the Bloom greenhouse in garden beds amended with Bloom.
Erin had two goals at the end of fall 2024: expand her garden and add cut flowers. Now, a year later, she’s done both with the help of Bloom. After learning about Bloom from a WTOP segment, she followed Bloom on Instagram and soon learned about our seedling giveaways, where she acquired some vegetable and flower seedlings. By growing more vegetables, she was able to give some to neighbors and the flowers not only added color and vibrancy to her garden, but also drew pollinators. She was even visited by a Monarch butterfly and “loved seeing bees buzz about the zinnia, strawflowers and more,” she told us.
“Bloom’s Woody Blend has also helped me to refresh my beds in preparation for fall planting. As a resident of DC’s Ward 7, I live in a food desert so being able to grow my own food provides my family and I direct access to fresh produce,” Erin said.
