When rising fertilizer prices sent Charlie Sasscer looking for an alternative, the 29-year-old farmer turned to Bloom. “You can’t beat the price of Bloom,” said Charlie.
This spring, Charlie applied Bloom to approximately 13 acres of pasture on his Leonardtown, Maryland farm. Using a litter spreader borrowed from the county soil conservation district, he found Bloom easy to apply. Charlie then disced it into the soil before planting millet in mid-May. Just 40 days later, the field was lush enough for his cattle to graze. “The field is looking pretty kick ass,” Charlie said. “It helped that I caught the rain and planted drought-tolerant millet, but Bloom seems to have given it a real boost too.”
