DC Water isn’t the only utility to be experimenting with wastewater upcycling. Researchers from a Dutch university and fashion label Hul le Kes have teamed up on an innovative project to dye clothes with a pigment derived from wastewater as an alternative to animal-based and synthetic dyes.
